About These Terms
Utilities Haven provides free, general-purpose tools for calculations, data handling, and everyday planning. The tools are intended to assist your own work, not to replace the information, records, judgment, or professional help needed for an important decision.
Using Utilities Haven
Use the website responsibly and for lawful purposes. In particular:
- Do not attempt to compromise, probe, or disrupt the website or its infrastructure.
- Do not use automated requests in a way intended to interfere with service availability.
- Respect third-party intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, and other applicable rights.
- Do not use the tools to unlawfully process information belonging to another person or organization.
These expectations do not prevent ordinary, legitimate use of the calculators or developer utilities. The current website does not create user accounts, subscriptions, or account-specific usage rules.
Calculator Results and Estimates
Calculator results are produced from the information you enter and the formulas and assumptions described by each tool. Incorrect or incomplete inputs produce unreliable outputs. Real-world conditions may differ, and displayed values may be rounded or formatted. Verify important outcomes independently before relying on them.
Money calculations
The Compound Interest Calculator projects growth using the principal, equal monthly contributions, fixed annual rate, duration, and compounding frequency you select. Contributions are modeled at the end of each month. Actual rates and returns can change, and the calculation excludes taxes, fees, inflation, withdrawals, and changing contributions or returns. It is an illustration, not a promise of investment performance.
Business calculations
The Profit Margin, Markup, and ROI calculators apply defined formulas to the amounts you supply. They may not include every cost, fee, tax, timing issue, accounting treatment, or adjustment relevant to a business. Their outputs are not audited financial statements, accounting conclusions, or regulatory or tax-compliance determinations.
Gig-worker calculations
Gig Driver Earnings, Uber Earnings, Fuel Cost, and Mileage Deduction results depend on user-entered earnings, time, distance, fuel economy, prices, costs, and other documented assumptions. Actual earnings, vehicle expenses, fuel use, and tax outcomes can vary. The mileage calculation estimates an amount using the displayed rate for the selected tax year and period; it does not determine eligibility, prove business use, calculate tax savings, or make every mile or expense deductible. Utilities Haven is not an IRS or other tax authority service.
Working-day calculations
The Working Days Calculator uses an inclusive date range, removes the weekdays you configure as weekends, and excludes applicable holiday dates that you enter manually. It does not automatically apply national holiday calendars. Results are not official legal, regulatory, contractual, court, filing, or government deadline determinations.
Financial, Tax, Accounting, and Legal Information
Utilities Haven offers educational information and general-purpose calculation aids. It does not provide personalized financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Consult an appropriately qualified professional when a decision depends on your circumstances or requires regulated expertise. These terms do not remove any obligation imposed by applicable law.
Developer Tools and Data Handling
The JSON Formatter & Validator, CSV to JSON Converter, and JWT Decoder help process or inspect data locally in your browser. You are responsible for the information you enter and for reviewing formatted, converted, or decoded output before using it in production.
Do not enter passwords, private keys, active access tokens, or other sensitive credentials. Local processing reduces unnecessary transmission but does not guarantee zero risk or absolute security. JWT decoding only makes header and payload contents readable; it does not verify a signature, authenticate the token, establish authenticity, or prove its claims are trustworthy.
Third-Party Services and External Links
Utilities Haven uses Vercel for website hosting. External websites and services have their own terms and privacy practices. Utilities Haven does not control those destinations or claim that every external resource has been independently vetted.
Google AdSense is not currently active. References to Google, Uber, the IRS, or other organizations do not imply affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement.
Availability and Accuracy
Utilities Haven aims to provide useful, understandable tools and information. Tools, formulas, rates, explanations, and other material may be corrected, improved, or changed. Availability may be interrupted by maintenance, technical faults, provider outages, or other circumstances. No uptime level or error-free operation is promised.
Intellectual Property
Original website design, code, and written content may be protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party names, marks, source material, and independently owned content remain the property of their respective owners. Nothing in these terms claims ownership of third-party brands or prevents ordinary use of results produced from your own inputs.
Warranties and Liability
The website and its outputs are provided as general informational aids. Results are not guaranteed to be complete, error-free, continuously available, or suitable for every purpose. You remain responsible for checking inputs, assumptions, outputs, and authoritative sources before making an important decision.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Utilities Haven does not accept responsibility for losses caused solely by relying on an estimate without appropriate independent verification. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights, remedies, or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
